VET FEE-HELP at FTA
The Australian Government is committed to increasing productivity, addressing skills shortages and assisting with the cost of studying.
One of the measures that achieves these goals is the availability of the VET FEE-HELP student loan scheme. VET FEE-HELP assists eligible students undertaking FTA’s Diploma of Aviation to pay for tuition costs.
Eligible students may borrow up to the FEE-HELP limit over their lifetime. In 2011, the FEE-HELP limit is $86,422. The FEE-HELP limit is indexed on 1 January each year. Fees not classified as a tuition fee by the Australian Government cannot be deferred.
A loan fee of 20% applies to full fee-paying students undertaking VET FEE-HELP loans. The loan fee will be applied to the amount of VET FEE-HELP assistance provided and this fee will be included in your VET FEE-HELP debt unless there are insufficient funds available.
