FTA offers a number of helicopter courses as shown below. These range from courses for individuals who have no previous helicopter flying experience to courses for individuals that hold some level of fixed wing or helicopter experience.

Private Pilots Licence (H)

A Private Pilots Licence (PPL) allows a pilot to fly a helicopter without limitation in distance for non-commercial purposes in daylight and Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions.  The course consists of 50 hours flying training. However, the minimum hours could be reduced should the student have some previous flying experience.
