FTA hosts Shanghai Police Force Aviation Division
Friday, May 6, 2011

Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) was delighted to host a Safety Management Training Symposium for the Shanghai Police Force Aviation Division.

The three day symposium covered all aspects of safety management systems, threat and error management, fatigue management and aircraft accident investigation processes within a flight training environment.

The symposium ended with a visit to Australian Helicopters who showed the delegation the various ways in which they manage risks and how they perform their search and rescue and retrieval missions.

Closing the symposium, Pine Pienaar, FTA’s CEO, commented: “It has been an absolute honour to share information with the Shanghai Police Force Aviation Division and FTA looks forward to reciprocating with a visit to the Shanghai Police HQ when it next visits China.   The symposium highlighted many other areas and opportunities where the parties could engage in the future, with a particular view of finding some common ground to establish a flight training relationship".
