FTA has an enviable record of success and is dedicated to setting the standard forpilot training. Partnering with the customer is critical to this success and our courses are developed and managed in consultation with the customer, incorporating their specific requirements and operating philosophy. To this end, customers are encouraged to involve themselves in the training programs from course development to direct delivery.
Training can be provided to meet the regulatory requirements of many civil aviation authorities. The College is currently approved to train in accordance with the regulations of the following regulatory authorities:
- Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV)
The basic ab-initio syllabus of instruction is a robust training program that has been developed over many years, in consultation with a number of our airline partners, to ensure an optimum training outcome for entry to, and progression through, the airline environment. It is designed for the student with little or no previous flying experience and prepares the candidate for graduation with a Commercial Pilot’s Licence and Command Multi Engine Instrument Rating (CPL + CIR ME). Additional modules can be incorporated into the training program to provide Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) theory credits, multi-crew co-operation (MCC), extreme unusual attitude training and Airline Transition Training.
The course integrates ground theory and flight instruction ensuring the timely application, in an airborne environment, of theoretical knowledge, aiding both the rate and retention of learning.
