Important Announcement regarding Flight Training Queensland |

| Flight Training Group (FTG) has been negotiating the establishment of Flight Training Queensland since late 2006. To date we have been unable to reach agreement with the Fraser Coast Regional Council on the Terms and Conditions of an agreement.
There are many reasons for this, the main ones being the merger of Councils involved in the project (Fraser Coast and Maryborough) and the new Council’s concern over noise and community acceptance. FTG has withdrawn the Development Application lodged with the Fraser Coast Regional Council. FTG will however continue to explore options for additional capacity but in a cautious and diligent manner. The Group will observe the fallout from the global recession over the next few months and reassess this decision early in 2009. FTG will support ongoing growth at Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) and will continue to explore other areas of aviation training for development potential. In support of this ongoing development, on the 13th of November, FTG confirmed an order for two additional Schweizer 300 CBi training helicopters to take this new FTA rotary wing fleet to four machines. |
