FTA provides world class aviation training solutions for the fixed wing and rotary wing industry.

FTA is located at Parafield Airport, South Australia.  The college started operations in 1982 and over the years has had a number of owners including Hawker de Havilland and BAE SYSTEMS.
In 2005, the college was purchased by Hong Kong based Young Brothers Aviation (YBA).

FTA’s training ethos is to develop future Airline and Helicopter Captains rather than simply training cadets to obtain a license.  To achieve this, FTA has made, and continues to make, considerable investment to ensure appropriate aircraft/simulator assets are available and the best staff are in place to deliver the training.

Whether its fixed wing or rotary wing, FTA caters for the sponsored cadets and self funded students.

A full range of services are available at FTA including selection, English Language Training, airborne flight grading, ab initio training to CPL, multi-engine CIR, frozen ATPL, multi-crew procedures and flying instructor training.

FTA also offers specialised training courses such as Jet Transition Training and helicopter crewmen ground school fundamentals

Highly trained and committed staff ensure the environment and content of the training courses exceed the expectations of our customer airlines, helicopter operators  and candidates. Graduates of FTA typically progress smoothly to command demonstrating core skills and a knowledge base reflective of the solid foundation of aviation training provided at Parafield.

Whether you are a sponsor or a cadet and wish to become a pilot, FTA will be able to cater for your requirements.  We hope that the information in our web site gives you an good understanding of what we can offer, and if you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us on info@flighttrainingadelaide.com or call us on
